Confucius Temple

Fuzimiao, also called Confucius Temple, can date back to Song Dynasty. Built along Qinhuai River, Fuzimiao faces a great 110-meter long stone wall in the south. It has been a prosperous area from the old days. Now it is still so lively especially in the 1st to 18th of the lunar calendar for the Lantern Fair. Shops, restaurants and a snack street housed in traditional Chinese architectural buildings are assembled here. Fuzimiao architecture complex consists of Confucius Temple, Xuegong Palace, GongYuan (the place the examinee took exam in ancient times), which is the most important part for Qinhuai River scenery.
